| Edinburgh is a top ten world heritage site, famous for its International Arts Festival, the siting of the new Scottish Parliament Building and the annual Hogmanay Party. The architectural heritage is immense with thousands of listed and historic buildings on view. So, there can be no surprise that the cities conservation strategy and stipulations are some of the most stringent in the world. Yet in amongst all of this glory people still have to live and work in the city. Homes need to be maintained in good order and this calls for specialist skills and knowledge in designated ‘conservation areas’ – this is where Farleys Conservation Windows come in. Farleys
have almost come full circle with the introduction of a fabulous new range
of timber-based windows. Our specialist fitting teams are experienced in fitting replacement windows without distressing surrounding stonework and renderings.

You can have authentic Sash & Case windows made from the best quality sustainable Scandinavian Pine or Asian hardwoods made to engineering tolerances which were unattainable in the past. All pre painted and assembled by hand with super slim astragals and sealed, double-glazed cells installed. That way you can have the traditional look and feel of a timber window but with all the benefits of double-glazing – literally the best of both worlds.

![]() "We live in a newly designated conservation area which is great for the house valuation. We had to replace 4 windows at the front of the house. Farleys Conservations Windows were the only Edinburgh based company that could supply and fit an acceptable window. I was surprised at how quickly the job was done - from order to installation in less than 4 weeks! " | |
